It’s named after Pharrell because I borrowed lyrics from his verse on ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot.’ I say, (mostly referencing my 2021 EP, ‘nice’): “I’m a nice dude / Wit some nice dreams / See these Ice Creams?” This song is very Big Mindi of me. I’m talking shit, I’m reflecting. I’m bragging, yes, but it’s all undeniable. Then it ends on that sweet little “nice dude, nice dude, nice dude” loop, and, since it’s the last song on TWYN, it’s almost like I’m concluding this project in a way that honors the last one. Like, no doubt have I evolved—but it’s a compounding of my previous self, not a stripping. Produced by the genius, Henry Was.
